Wine Food Pairing takes us back to the mainland of Honduras in San Pedro Sula. We would be leaving early the next day for the US and we stayed at a highly recommended hotel called La Cordillera Apart Hotel. The hotel was well appointed, sparkling clean and also had a terrific restaurant that stayed open until 10:00pm.
I chose a jumbo shrimp kabob with a creamy sauce over rice.... HOLY COW .... the portions were enormous! The steamed veggies perfect with a slight crunch.
I paired this with the house Chardonnay that complimented it perfectly. The buttery wine and the spicy/creamy sauce were "perfecto". Wine Food Pairing in mainland Honduras, terrific. CHEERS!
